Q. Does the vapour that is produced smell?

A. Although the vapour looks a lot like smoke it does not smell like the smoke of a standard cigarette and therefore your clothes and other surroundings will also not smell

Q. Why am I not getting enough vapour when I smoke my e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)?

A. There are a few possible reasons;

• There is not enough nicotine solution in the cartridge to reach the heating coil.
  Solution: Replace or refill the cartridge
• You are not taking long enough puffs
  Solution: Inhale longer
• You are holding the vapour in too long. Vapour is more easily absorbed by the lungs
• The battery may be running low and there is not enough power to heat the coil correctly
  Solution: Change or charge the battery
• If you have had the atomizer for a while it could be getting clogged.
  Solution: Clean the atomizer

Q. I get a nicotine oil (sweet) taste in my mouth when I smoke my e-cigarette (electronic cigarette). How do I stop this from happening?

A. There are three possible reasons that you taste nicotine in your mouth;

1. You are smoking (puffing) too hard
   
2. When you refilled the cartridge oil spilled on the side of the sponge therefore you need to clean your cartridge
   
3. During shipping the cartridges get shook up and the fluid in the inner cartridge spills over into the air flow channel. When you inhale the spilt fluid is sucked up the air flow channel and into the mouth. By blowing into the mouth end of the cartridge you can get rid of any loose liquid or you can wipe both ends with a lint free wipe (cotton wool)

Q. What is the life span of a battery?

A. E-cigarettes (electronic cigarettes) are powered by Lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are rechargeable in a range of 300 times (9 months if charged once a day) and thereafter it will become useless.

Q. Can I replace on the battery part of the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)

A. As the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) is so cheap we strongly advise you to replace the whole unit and not only the battery

Q. Must I clean the battery?

A. The answer is yes. If you clean your battery you can prolong the life span of your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)

Q. How do I clean the battery part of the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)?

A. After using your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) you will notice that after a while a green or black substance starts building up on the battery thread and head. To clean the battery dab some cotton wool with surgical spirits or any other spirits and then wipe it very softly until it is clean

Q. How often must I clean the battery?

A. We recommend that you clean it at least once a month

Q. Can the battery get activated even if you don't smoke (puff) the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)?

A. If you go into a night club with loud music playing it may activate the battery. We recommend you detach the atomizer from the battery until you want to use it again

Q. Why does the e-cigarette's (electronic cigarette) performance drop over time?

A. It is not actually the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) that drops performance but the atomizer that produces less vapour. This is due to the wick (the heating element) getting clogged with carbon. The carbon is deposited on the heating coil when the nicotine solution is vaporized. The carbon is taking up space and the wick is no longer able to absorb as much nicotine with the result that the atomizer is unable to produce as much vapour as what is needed.

Q. How can I prevent the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) to drop peformance?

A. As explained in the previous answer it is actually the atomizer that drops in performance (produce less vapour.) By cleaning the atomizer on a regular basis you can prevent or prolong this from happening. See the next question on "How do I clean the atomizer". You can also soak the atomizer once a week in Coca-Cola for approximately 3 hours. The acid in the Coca-Cola will help loosen carbon that has built up on the heating coil. Rinse the atomizer with clean water and let it dry completely before use.

Q. How do I clean the atomizer?

A. To clean the atomizer we suggest that you give it a rinse every three days. Grab the atomizer with a tweezers or tong and rinse it under a hot water tap for a few minutes. Blow into the battery end of the atomizer to remove any excess water. You could also use some compressed air or a hair dryer to dry it. Place the atomizer upside down in an egg cup or something similar with tissue paper or cotton wool in it and allow it time to drain. When the atomizer is fully dry and ready to use put at least 3 drops onto the wick and give it 10 - 15 minutes to absorb the e-liquid before using it. You can also give the atomizer 3 taps on your hand to start the flow of the e-liquid

Note: It may take a good few puffs to get the atomizer back into action again (20 to 40 puffs)

Q. When must I replace the atomizer?

A. As the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) is so cheap we strongly advise you to replace the whole unit and not only the atomizer

Q. How do I prolong the life span of the atomizer?

A. Don't smoke it till it gets dry. When the vapour production gets less, add more e-liquid, replace the cartridge or stop smoking and lastly clean it on a regular basis

Q. How do I clean a cartridge?

A. Should you spill e-liquid on the side of the sponge you can clean out the cartridge by following the steps below;

Step 1

Use an ear bud or a tissue of which you have rolled up the ends and insert it into the cartridge to dry it out

Try not to let the tissue touch the sponge

Step 2

Hold the electronic cigarette upright (cartridge side up) for a few minutes before using. This will allow the wick to absorb some nicotine fluid.

Notes: If you are still getting nicotine in your mouth repeat the above steps and if you get a funny metallic or burning taste when smoking your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) it is due to too little nicotine solution. You can also rinse the sponge inside the cartridge with warm water or replace it with "wool" that pet shops sell which are used in the filters of a fish tank

Q. When must I replace the cartridge?

A. If you take care and clean your cartridges regularly you can use them for a very long time. As the cartridges for the e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) are so cheap we strongly advise you to always keep spares

Q. How long do the refill cartridges last in storage?

A. Cartridges should be stored in a cool, dry place and should be used within 6 to 12 months of purchase date

Q. How long would a cartridge last?

A. As mentioned before some cartridges last for 70 puffs (4 to 6 cigarettes) and some even up to 200 puffs (12 to 14 cigarettes). It all depends on which one you purchase

Q. How long would a bottle of 10 ml e-liquid last?

A. A 10ml bottle should give you at least 400 drops. If you need 5 drops to refill a cartridge it will fill 80 cartridges.

Q. Why does the cigarette cut out sometimes?

A. If you inhale for more than 5 seconds the device might cut out and you may not be able to use it for 2 minutes. This is a safety mechanism to that you don't inhale too much nicotine. If it does cut out just leave the device for 2 minutes then try again. If you smell a burning smell stop smoking your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) immediately

Q. What is the crackling sound that I hear with times?

A. The crackling sound you hear is most likely coming from the atomizer where the nicotine is heating the coil. This is not dangerous and you can still continue smoking your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette)

Q. What is the whistling sound that I hear with times?

A. The whistling sound you hear is most likely coming from the cartridge that is not placed tightly enough onto the atomizer. Remove it and put it back tightly

Q. Would I get into trouble if I smoke my e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) on an airplane?

A. As you are not actually smoking and there is no smell you should not get into trouble for smoking your e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) on an airplane.

A. An e-cigarette (electronic cigarette) is just as long as a standard cigarette
